Halkyone

Race: Aquatic Sprite

This race is similar to mermaids but they have legs and can walk on land. They are extremely strong and has an array of mystical powers such as light bending, sonic scream, and water control but cam be defeated with simple fire. They roam the world in bands of twenty or so and prefer marsh lands rather than open sea and feed on fish and small animals.

History: Halkyone can't remember much of her life before the giant sea weed attached to her body. The Sea weed has a mind of it's own and feeds of her body and is slowly killing her. Her legs are bonded with the Sea weed, giving the appearance of her being a mermaid. The weed started to repress her memories and thinking to keep her under it's absolute control. Now Halkyone is like a goldfish, swimming aimlessly and barely able to remember what happens to her an hour ago. In her haze, she has in dangered her body and her arm got bitten off.

Personality: Halkyone is really dense and silly due to the Weed's repression. Her only "friend" is the weed killing her but she can't figure it out. She is completely dependent on the weed and has developed a weird affection for it. She can be entertained repeatedly by staring at a hunk of metal for hours because she will simply forget that she saw it already. She is dopey, child-like, and ignorant.

Personality of the weed: The weed serves as the brain of Halkyone's body. The weed is an uncaring killing machine who's only need for Halkyone is her immense strength. The weed doesn't care if the upper body get's hurt as long as it doesn't get injured. The weed is self serving, cruel, and abusive.

Melantha

Race: Serpent people

Half man, half snake humanoids that live in the Ooo Mountain. They are peaceful, cultured folk who closely resemble Greek and Roman era people. They are ruled over by Snake Empresses and her royal council.

History: Melantha is lady in waiting to the 6 year old Snake Princess Polýtimos (meaning Precious) who is a major brat. She is nothing more than a royal babysitter but she puts up with her job because she gets unlimited access to the theater. Melantha dreams of becoming a star actress and practices all the spare time she has. Her favorite role is the Owl from the play Little Owl's chance. The character in the play is a fun loving girl who gets to do whatever she wants. But as Polýtimos gets older, her dreams fail to become true.

Personality: Melantha seems stoic and mature yet she holds a small kernel of hope that her dreams will become true. To her best friends, she is smart, sarcastic and uncaring. She seems strong and hard working but Melantha craves to do normal teen stuff. She is interested in Ischyrós, a young chef who she eats her breakfast with before her job starts.
